Tanya is a nutritional therapist based in South London who contacted me about a bespoke personal branding photo shoot as she was about to start working on a website for her new business, Urban Vitality.
After having an in-depth conversation with Tanya about her aims and preferences for the photo shoot and having seen a photo brief from her web designer, we decided to do the photo shoot in her home and in a nearby woodland. She had shared photos of her home with me so I could determine whether the space was suitable for what she was looking to achieve. Fortunately, Tanya's home had good natural light in the rooms we wanted to use and she had done a great job tidying up and de-cluttering the rooms ahead of the photo shoot to ensure a professional look and feel. When booking a bespoke branding photo shoot with me, the location options are typically your (or a friend's) home, office or other workspace/studio or a suitable outdoor space - or a combination of these. Alternatively we can hire a natural light studio or a location house to use for your photo shoot.
We started the session in Tanya's study where we took a variety of shots which included her on a (pretend) client consultation call on her laptop as well as some headshots. Moving into her kitchen we took a range of photos of her with all the healthy - and very colourful! - fresh food items that she had prepared on platters beforehand as well as lots of stock images of these food items alone. After this we captured more releaxed lifestyle shots of Tanya and her dog in the garden before heading out to the small woodland area near her home for some walking shots and relaxed portraits.
As always at branding sessions, I guided and directed her on poses throughout the session to help her feel at ease and to achieve a good variety of images. Tanya also made great use of the opportunity to have multiple outfit changes during the shoot to maximise variety in her photos and, following my guidance, she had chosen outfits that aligned well with her brand.
Tanya was delighted with her images and not long after receiving them, her brand new website went live featuring a number of images from our session. She has also used the images on her new social media accounts and on marketing materials such as flyers, receiving positive feedback from others on her new photos.
Here's a snippet of the images we captured during Tanya's branding session.
