Meet Pauliina
Hi there, I'm Pauliina, a full-time London newborn & family, personal branding and event photographer. Nice to meet you! I live in Crystal Palace in South London with my other half and our two boys. I was born and raised in Finland but have lived in London for over 18 years now so this is what I call home and have done for a long time. In case you wondered about those two i's in my name, now you know the reason!
I've had a 'proper' camera ever since I was teenager and always enjoyed taking photos especially of people. Event photography is something I've been doing for over 10 years and still happily do occasionally but it wasn't until my children were born that I started really getting into family, newborn and maternity photography and was inspired to turn my long term hobby into a business after years of practice. Being a photographer has been my full-time job for a while now and it continues to brings me so much joy to capture authentic memories for families across London.
Since becoming a photography business owner myself, I've also dived into personal branding and headshot photography as I love helping other people - even the most camera-shy - showcase their own businesses through high quality photography.

Newborn & family photographer
My approach to working with families is very natural and relaxed and my aim is to capture photos that show the special connection between you and your loved ones. There will be no cheesy smiles or stiff posing but I will gently guide and direct you so you don’t need to worry about what to do in front of the camera.
At every photo shoot I take a combination of gently prompted and totally candid images to give you great variety in your gallery. I shoot on location which depending on the type of session can be either in your home or outdoors.
As a mum myself I'm particularly passionate about getting mums in front of my camera because let's face it, you're most often the one taking photos and hardly in them yourself. I strongly believe we owe it to our children to be included in those memories. Now that my boys are a bit older, I'm so grateful to have photos like this one on the right from those early stages to look back on.

Personal branding photographer
For small business owners, I truly believe that in today's world high quality branding images can really set you apart from your competition and it's my mission as your personal branding photographer to help you achieve that.
I've worked with a wide range of service-based small business owners and freelancers from web designer to wedding celebrant, nutriotionist to psychotherapist and life coach to accountant. But you know what's a common factor for most of my clients? Almost all of them tell me when they book that they feel awkward in front the camera. Please don't worry, you don't need to know how to pose when you book a branding session with me. It is my job to make you feel at ease and guide you into flattering poses throuhout your session.
My mum ran her own hair salon for 50 (!) years so entrepreneurship is something that's in my blood. I love working with fellow business owners and learning about your specialism, talents and the journey into setting up your own business. We are likely to have a lot in common to chat about during your photo shoot!
