Claudia is an experienced and highly specialist clinical psychologist. When she first got in touch with me, she was preparing for an exciting new chapter; a full rebrand of her private practice. As a personal branding photographer in London, it's so exciting for me to get to work with small business owners and professionals at this stage: refining not just how their business looks, but how it feels to potential clients. Her goal was clear. She didn’t just need professional photos - she needed imagery that would build trust from the very first glance. She needed her potential clients to feel they can approach her, share vulnerable stories, and trust that she is the right person to support them. This level of clarity is gold when planning a bespoke personal branding shoot, because it shapes every creative decision.
Planning a personal branding shoot in London
From our initial consultation, we focused on creating something warm, natural, and relatable - qualities that are essential for anyone working in a therapeutic or client-facing role. We chose to hold the shoot at her friend’s home in South London. The space offered a calm environment that aligned perfectly with her brand values. When working as a London personal branding photographer, I always ask to review a location in advance through photos and/or video if I haven't seen the space in person. This allows me to assess natural light, layout, and visual opportunities so we can get the best possible results on the day.
Creating natural, professional brand images
The focus of this session was to create a versatile image library that could be used across her new website, social media, and other marketing materials.
During the shoot, we captured:
- Relaxed, professional headshots that feel approachable
- Lifestyle images of in-person client consultations
- Online consultation setups to reflect remote working
- A variety of supporting “stock-style” images with relevant props
This mix is key for strong personal branding. It ensures consistency across a website while keeping the visuals engaging and aligned with the client’s message.
Adding personality with London locations
To add contrast and visual interest, we also stepped outside to photograph my client against a colourful mural. London is full of incredible backdrops like this, and incorporating them into a shoot can help create a more dynamic and modern brand identity. These outdoor shots gave her a second, more vibrant look - perfect for standing out online while still feeling authentic to her personality.
The result: building trust through imagery
By the end of the session, we had created a cohesive set of images that balanced professionalism with warmth - exactly what she needed to connect with her audience.
She was thrilled with the final gallery and has since used the images across her new website, strengthening her brand and helping potential clients feel more confident reaching out. You can find some examples at the bottom of this page of how she has used the images on her website.
See below what she said in her 5* Google review.
“"I can highly recommend Pauliina if you are in need of a professional branding photo shoot. She was incredibly calm and thoughtful when it came to designing the shoot and produced a beautiful gallery of high quality images that were exactly what I had envisioned and was in need of to re-launch my online therapy practice."”
Honestly, nothing makes me happier as a photographer than a happy client!
