Mini session terms & conditions
By booking and taking part in a mini session photo shoot session with Pauliina Roots Photography you agree to the following photo shoot Terms & Conditions:
Definitions
For the purpose of these conditions ‘the Client’ refers to any individual who has booked a photo shoot with Pauliina Roots Photography, together with all attendees of the shoot. ‘The Photographer’ refers to Pauliina Roots Photography.
Work product
All photographs will be shot in digital format. Photos will be delivered as high-resolution JPEG files via a private online gallery within 3 weeks from the photo shoot. RAW files will not be provided. The Photographer will store the digital images for 3 months after which it is not possible to retrieve the images. The Photographer recommends that the Client makes a copy of their files immediately after receiving them. The Client may download images from the online gallery for personal use only.
Payment
The session must be paid in full at the time of booking. After the photo shoot the Client must decide within 10 days of receiving the gallery how many and which images they would like and pay for any upgrade. Due to the bespoke nature of photography, digital images are non refundable upon delivery of the online gallery.
Cancellation policy
Should the Client cancel their session their session no fee will be returned. If the Photographer is unable to perform their services due to any cause outside her control, any payments made by the Client in relation to the session will be returned in full.
Reschedule policy
If the Client or their family member is ill they can reschedule free of charge however availability may be limited. The Client may only reschedule once.
Lateness
Should the Client arrive late for their photo shoot, they will only be entitled to the remaining time of that scheduled slot and the Photographer will not be required to extend any photo shoot to factor in the Client’s late arrival. The Client will remain liable for 100% of the fees for the services if they are late. Lateness on the Client's part may result in less images presented by the Photographer.
Creative and Artistic Licence
The Photographic coverage will be as the Photographer’s professional expertise determines. The Photographer’s judgement regarding the locations, poses and number of images taken shall be final. Various factors may make the production of certain photos not possible, such as the weather, uncontrolled lighting conditions and the availability, willingness and behaviour of subjects. The Photographer will make all reasonable efforts to adhere to the Client’s requests, but will not guarantee any specific photo and will not be responsible for any photos that cannot be produced.
The Photographer retains the right of discretion in selecting the photographic materials released to the Client. The final post-production and editing styles, effects, and overall look of the images are left to the discretion of the Photographer. The Photographer has the right to refuse any requested edits to the images and will not release RAW files (unprocessed original photos).
Editing & retouching
Basic editing such as adjusting exposure and colour, cropping and light retouching (e.g. removing noticeable temporary imperfections such as blemishes and pimples from close up images) where needed is included within the services. Advanced retouching and digital manipulation is not included. The editing of the photos by the Client is not permitted.
Copyright
The copyright of the photos produced by the Photographer shall remain the property of Pauliina Roots Photography. The Photographer shall have the right to be credited as the author of the photos produced. Images are sold on a personal use license which includes photographs provided digitally. This means the Client may share the downloaded images with family and friends, post them on their personal social media accounts and print them. The client must NOT do any of the following:
1) sell, license, sub-license, transfer, or otherwise distribute the photos
2) alter the photos in any way (this includes adding a filter when posting on social media)
3) use the photos for advertising or commercial purposes or
4) submit or enter the photos into any competition.
Publicity
The Photographer reserves the right to use all photos for advertising and promotional purposes of their business. This shall include, but is not limited to, website, social media, brochures, leaflets, other literature and photographic competitions. If the Client does not want their photos to be published they must notify the Photographer prior to the photo shoot.
